Our lives are what we make of them. We may start from different points, different backgrounds and different opportunities but as we grow we get awareness that we have control to change our mind, values, actions and self. We are the only ones who can do this. Everyday is an opportunity to make a change in our lives for the better but we must commit to it with Passion. We must be convinced that our lives depend on it… for in truth they do.
If you want something, write it down and make it happen.
Don’t let other obligations or responsibilities keep you from making progress towards your effort.
Keep your focus on what you want and set it as the priority in your life.
Don’t let excuses, blame or denial lead you into your future.
Take ownership, accountability and responsibility to make your future.
Do not let time pass by as you sit back and watch as a spectator.
Take advantage of all the time you have.

How can I increase my commitment?
I’ve pondered that question myself sometimes when working on my goals. I’ve had the greatest intention with some projects but ended up fizzling from time to time and not following through. I wasn’t sure why. Luckily it was explained to me.
We must reverse engineer ourselves to see the bigger picture of our identity.
- We get our Results from our Actions & Decisions / Behavior.
- Our Behavior is a reflection of our Skills.
- Our Skills are a reflection of our Beliefs.
- Our Beliefs are a reflection of our Values.
- Our Values are a reflection of our Identity.
- A large part of our Identity is shaped by our Environment.
If we want to improve our commitment to better ourselves we must get to the core of who we are, we must ensure we are putting ourselves in a prosperous/flourishing environment, we must be certain to have a solid understanding of our identity, we must define and live our values, we must acknowledge and reflect on our beliefs, we must hone and sharpen our skills and we must monitor and refine our behavior.
Once we change our environment, the content we consume, the people we surround ourselves with, the thoughts we hold in our mind, our core will strengthen and give us new power and skills to take new actions and get new results.
Only once we’ve ensured we’re strong from our identity to our actions will we be set up for success and commitment will come naturally because it is not something you must force yourself to do, it is who you are.
